Today, the creative world – and the world as a whole – lost one of its most influential designers, Massimo Vignelli. He was 83. I felt obligated to share this news, since I have considered him to have really changed my perspective on design since I saw him give a talk while I was finishing school at Michigan State in 2007. His perspective, rules and approach were and still are the most honest and refreshing I have come across as a designer. And it is no doubt his theory has influenced thousands of others, and his work has affected millions more – albeit likely unknowingly for many (refer to: New York Subway system, Bloomingdales, Crate & Barrel, American Airlines...)

Thanks for it all, Massimo.
